Waiting on My Becoming is a series of confessional, Baroque-Romanticist digital paintings that stage the vulnerability of transformation. The project explores the liminal state of waiting between who I am and who I might become. Each piece is theatrical and surreal: female figures appear caught in suspended rituals, landscapes echo with absence, and still lifes hold the residue of change. Clothing, hands, ribbons, and shadows become symbols of constraint and release. Some scenes are intimate, almost diary-like. Others are grand, cinematic, and unsettlingly timeless.
This project is not about the moment of becoming, but the ache of waiting for it; an unfinished metamorphosis laid bare on canvas
