Exhibited at Cambridge School of Art, 28 April – 13 June 2025. Shortlisted for the Supanee Gazeley Fine Art Prize.
This installation showcased selected works from Damnation, a series of digital paintings printed on wood panel and canvas, exhibited as part of my final-year degree show.
Damnation explores themes of sin, corruption, and complicity through a contemporary feminist lens. Drawing on Baroque and Dark Romanticist aesthetics, the project uses chiaroscuro lighting, symbolic violence, and unflinching eye contact to confront viewers with scenes of bodily and emotional rupture.
The exhibition was divided into two parts: The Corridor, featuring a set of intimate square pieces acting like sacred icons of pain; and The Hall, where a large-scale centerpiece (Meat for the Gods) commanded the space. Together, they ask: What does it mean to be watched, judged, and consumed — by others, by society, by yourself?
Exhibited at Cambridge School of Art as part of the 2025 Graduate Degree Show (28 April – 13 June), with a Private View on 5 June, 5–8 PM.
I was honoured to be shortlisted for the Supanee Gazeley Fine Art Prize.
A lot of people asked if it was oil paint. That’s how I knew Damnation was doing its job.
