Serve The Man (Original)
20x21.4cm | Signed | Includes COA | Ready to Hang
“Serve the Man” (2024) is a twisted still life of obedience, presentation, and passive violence. A baroque woman gazes coolly at the viewer, holding a decapitated head on a platter — rotted, dripping, almost ceremonial. The composition echoes martyrdom and fine dining all at once, a critique of power dressed in velvet and decay.
Printed directly onto wood, the piece gains an earthy texture — the subtle woodgrain rising beneath the fabric folds and flesh. This is a small but commanding work: sharp, theatrical, and uncomfortably elegant.
